A GIRL AND HER SOLE

Essential Oils

I have been using some type of plant medicine all my life, I grew up in a farm where both my mom and grandmother advocated using medicinal plants first and if that didn’t work; we could visit the doctor and get “new medicine”.

They called it “new medicine” because in their eyes, and my eyes as well, is relatively new compare on how long humans have been using plants to help with their ailments. Humans have been around for thousands of years, if we take Ancient Egyptian their civilization coalesced around 3150 BC; and it wasn’t until the late 1800s that people started to work on copying what nature gave us and synthesize it, giving us modern medicine.

Because of that I have always felt more comfortable with using plants (or derivate of plants) before popping Ibuprofen. And understand also that when I do have a symptom is not because my body has a vendetta agains Mondays, but is trying to tell me something. So even though I would love to not have a headache, I need to listen to my body and see if I understand why I have the headache in the first place.

With that being said, I have done A LOT of research about the type of oils I use, and I mean A LOT! And have found that DoTerra not only gives me peace of mind knowing they use pure oils in their product and are transparent on where they harvest them, the processes they use and are not adding chemicals to it. I do dive in more in depth in my Essential Oil post if you want to read more about it.

Why did I choose DoTerra?

When you use a bottle of doTERRA essential oil, you’re using an oil that is pure. There are no contaminants, fillers, or adulterations. The essential oil industry did not have standards to ensure purity, so doTERRA created one.

Every batch of doTERRA essential oils goes through a rigorous testing process—well beyond what would be considered “good enough.” After that, each oil is sent to an independent third party for further testing and validation.
