Mindful Eating – 4 Cardinal Rules

I am sure you have seen this phrase before “you just need to be mindful”… But what does that mean?? What is to be mindful when you are eating??

Mindful eating focuses on your eating experiences, body-related sensations, and thoughts and feelings about food, with heightened awareness and without judgment.

When was the last time that you enjoyed a meal without a distraction? TV? Friends? Work? Audiobook? Social Media? When we put our attention towards something else other than eating shift our concentration from our bodies towards that action and disregarding the potential body cues that our brain is telling us regarding our hunger.
